Chronic worries or physical feelings of nervousness or even panic can keep you from getting quality, restful sleep. Worries about how much or how well you’ll sleep tonight stop you from feeling relaxed enough to start falling asleep. Anxiety about family, work, or health keeps your mind running like a hamster on a wheel, and before you know it, you check the clock and an hour or two have gone by without a wink of sleep. Your days are clouded by fatigue and sleepiness, and you know if you could just get a little more sleep, you could manage your problems in life so much better. You try so many different strategies to make your sleep better, but you never feel rested. You’ve decided you’ve had enough, but aren’t sure where to go next.

Sleep is a vital part of health and well-being. Poor sleep quality can have a major impact on quality of life. It can keep you from doing your best at work, being present for your family, or engaging in hobbies. Poor sleep can become all-consuming and you may start to wonder if you’ll ever get good rest again. If this sounds like your experience, I’m so glad that you made it to my website. Anxiety is very treatable with therapy, and I’m here to help!

Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Insomnia- or CBT-I- is an evidence-based therapy for insomnia disorder. My goal is to teach you skills to improve your sleep quality naturally and to cope with anxiety that keeps you from sleeping. Many clients who are engaged and practice the therapy skills experience CBT-I as a highly effective therapy and often see improvements in sleep within a few sessions.
About me

I’m Dr. Leah Bogusch, and I am a clinical psychologist. I’ve been working in the behavioral health field for over 10 years. In this time, I have helped many people improve their sleep quality and manage anxiety symptoms. Behavioral therapies for sleep and anxiety are incredibly effective, and, as a psychologist, it is so rewarding to see the improvements clients make in getting better rest and living a life outside of anxiety’s control. As you consider the next steps to improving sleep and addressing anxiety, I look forward to welcoming you into a therapeutic relationship that helps you build a life of your choosing.
